2026 SEASON INFORMATION

Here are some of the exciting things that will be happening in box lacrosse for 2026:

1. The introduction of all female age categories, with the ability for them to play both female and co-ed if they choose.

2. The u22 age will be running in conjunction with the Junior B Blizz team.  Any players wishing to play for the Junior B, need to register with their Clubs and participate in the u22 age to be eligible for the Junior B Blizz.

3. With more anticipated growth, Tiering will be introduced at any age category having more than 9 teams.

4. A fresh set of policies will be introduced prior to registration opening that are intended to improve everyone's experience.

5. Clearly defined boundaries will be released that will show where each player can register, along with 'vacant' areas and where those players can register.

6. For the u13, u15 and u17 ages, a new and improved A program has been launched that will be run by the Junior Blizz organization called the Frost.

7. The Blizz has a Junior B and Senior B team playing the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League (PGLL) AND a Junior A team in the Rocky Mountain Larcosse League (RMLL)

8. Any age categories where there are not enough players to have four (4) full teams, a 4x4 format will be used for gameplay so that anyone interested in playing box lacrosse this year will have the opportunity.
