Age categories are determined by Lacrosse Canada (LC).
These age categories each include two birth years, and are named based on the age that the athletes will turn in that calendar year. I.e., Under-15 will include athletes who will be under 15 years of age throughout that entire year.
Female athletes playing co-ed may play in an age category that is one year younger than their birth year.
Exemptions may be made to the age category in which an athlete participates via application to the Winnipeg Box Lacrosse Commission using the Age Category Exemption Form.
