U11 Fall Back Rule

The Fall Back Rule is only used in U11 lacrosse and is intended to help provide extra time for the goalie to pass the ball to one of their players, who have to be outside the 24' line, after making a save.

Once ALL the players (who were just on offense) are past the first restraining line, they are free to forecheck again - or go anywhere on the floor.

The team whose goalie just gained possession, just need to move outside the 24' line to receive the pass from the goalie.

THE ACTUAL RULE STATES:

The fall back rule applies when possession is gained by the goalkeeper. All defensive players must enter the neutral zone. Once all the defensive players are in the neutral zone, they are free to go wherever they want. The goalkeeper must pass the ball to one of the offensive players who must be outside of the 24 foot dotted line.

To clarify the neutral zone, that's the area between the two restraining lines.
